Athens waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Sayre Redskins 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Athens never let Sayre on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 26-24, 25-16.

Leading Athens to victory were Kayla Forbes and Lainey Vosburgh. Forbes had 16 digs and four aces, while Vosburgh had nine digs and two aces. Forbes is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Athens' win bumped their record up to 7-11-1. As for Sayre, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Athens wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Williamson on the 23rd. As for Sayre, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Wyalusing Valley on the 23rd.
