Volleyball Recap: Moffat County Comes Up Short

Moffat County lost against Steamboat Springs back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Sailors.

Meadow Simpson paced Moffat County's offense, picking up five kills. Simpson got some help from Adrian Profumo and her 14 assists. Profumo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Steamboat Springs was led to victory by Macee Wettlaufer and Sammy Coleman. Wettlaufer had ten digs and two assists, while Coleman had seven digs. Wettlaufer is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Moffat County's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Steamboat Springs, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Moffat County has already played their next match (against North Fork), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Steamboat Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Eagle Valley on the 4th.
