Softball Game Preview: Ranchview Wolves vs. Aubrey Chaparrals

Ranchview hasn't had much luck against Aubrey recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wolves will venture away from home to challenge the Chaparrals at 6:00 p.m. Ranchview has given up an average of 17.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ranchview came up short against Lake Dallas on Wednesday, falling 24-4.

Natalia Madrigal was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Aubrey's offense. They lost 6-0 to Panther Creek on Wednesday. The shutout was out of character for the Chaparrals seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Ranchview's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Aubrey, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Ranchview might still be hurting after the 18-0 loss they got from Aubrey in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
