            Springville hasn't had much luck against Moody recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Tigers will venture away from home to  challenge the Blue Devils  at 7:00  p.m. Springville has given up an average of 39.7  points per game this season, but Friday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Springville is headed into the  game out to prove that what happened against St. Clair County  on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Tigers lost  42-21 to the Fighting Saints. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Fighting Saints are ranked 70th).
 Springville might have lost, but man,  Noah Hampton was a machine:  he rushed for 75 yards and a pair of  scores, and also threw for 258 yards  while picking up 12.3 yards per attempt. 90 of those passing yards were hauled in by Trigg Murdoch.
Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Friday Moody sidestepped Leeds for  a  25-22 win. The  victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Greenwave: they've now won three in a row.
A big part of Moody's  win came down to the chemistry between  Jake Lowery and his top target  Josiah Dozier. Lowery threw for 195 yards and three  touchdowns while  Dozier picked up 118 receiving yards and three  TDs. Lowery's passing game has become a key predictor of Moody's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.
 One reason for the win was Moody's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by  Baroc Willis and  Dezron Mobley, who racked up  four sacks between them. Willis is also crushing it when it comes to  total tackles: he's   made at least six every time he's  taken the field this season. Moody got some further help from  Joshua Willet: he made 11 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
 Springville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Moody, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
 Springville took a serious blow against Moody  in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024, falling  56-13. Can the Tigers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
