Bishop Heelan Catholic and Jefferson are an even 5-5 against one another since June of 2019, but likely not for long. The Crusaders will be playing at home against the Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-12 victory over Sioux City North on Thursday. The game was the first time the Yellowjackets have beaten the Stars on their field since June 13, 2023.

Bishop Heelan Catholic pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Jefferson, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5.
