Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Glenbard West's Fourth in Last Five Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Glenbard West had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They never let the Bartlett Hawks get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

The result came thanks to Olivia Salerno's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Shelby Bobroff was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Semprevivo, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Glenbard West has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. As for Bartlett, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-12.

Looking ahead, Glenbard West will take on St. Charles North at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The North Stars will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. Bartlett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
