Recap: Central Lake Trojans vs. Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs
The Central Lake Trojans were the 56-31 winner over the Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Central Lake's rough 51-31 defeat to Grand Traverse Academy on Monday might stick with them for a while.
Grand Traverse Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sadie Brown, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Paige Bell, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Central Lake's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Grand Traverse Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Central Lake will be home for the holidays to greet Boyne Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grand Traverse Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Mancelona at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
