Softball Recap: Apache Junction Prospectors vs. Coolidge Bears
Apache Junction was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Coolidge Bears, falling 23-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-2 back in March.
Apache Junction's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Coolidge, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Apache Junction will venture away from home to challenge Seton Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sentinels' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Prospectors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Coolidge, they will be playing at home against Globe at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Bears' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Tigers have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
