Basketball Recap: Red Oak Comes Up Short

Red Oak lost to AHSTW back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers came up short against the Vikings, falling 48-25. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Vikings are ranked 129th).

Red Oak has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for AHSTW, they moved to 10-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Red Oak will head out on the road to challenge Griswold at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for AHSTW, they and Missouri Valley will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
