Basketball Recap: BASIS - Chandler Beats AZ Compass Prep for Their Third Straight Win

BASIS - Chandler won against ASU Prep Poly last Tuesday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The BASIS - Chandler Bobcats blew past the AZ Compass Prep Dragons 65-42. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 23 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Matthew Akpan, who posted 25 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was Kalan Karuppana, who had 13 points.

The win (which was BASIS - Chandler's third in a row) raised their record to 6-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for AZ Compass Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
