Basketball Recap: Sussex Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lake Forest last Tuesday, Sussex Academy came back down to earth. The Sussex Academy Seahawks came up short against the Early College Hornets on Thursday, falling 43-18. The loss continues a trend for the Seahawks in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost nine in a row.

Sussex Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Early College, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Sussex Academy has already played their next game, a 40-38 loss against Laurel on the 24th. As for Early College, they will venture away from home to face off against Seaford at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Seaford will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Early College surely won't give up without a fight.
