Volleyball Recap: St. Louis University Falls Short Against Ranked Howell Central

St. Louis University faced Howell Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Junior Bills fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-2. The Junior Bills have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, St. Louis University sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 23-25, 25-22, 26-28, 15-9.

Luke Schall paced St. Louis University's offense, picking up 16 kills. Schall got some help from Tanner Zippay and his 55 assists. Zippay was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

St. Louis University's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Howell Central, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 21-3-2.

St. Louis University didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Christian Brothers on the 29th. As for Howell Central, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Timberland on the 29th.
