Preview: NSU University Sharks vs. Miami Country Day Spartans
NSU University and Miami Country Day are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The NSU University Sharks will head out on the road to face off against the Miami Country Day Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. NSU University is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
NSU University scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past David Posnack Jewish Day 90-66. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-32.
Anthony Ferrer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 31 points. The game was Ferrer's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dwight Gaines, who scored 23 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Miami Country Day's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 77-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of Divine Savior Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
NSU University's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Miami Country Day, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 4-1.
NSU University couldn't quite finish off Miami Country Day in their previous matchup back in February and fell 67-65. Can NSU University avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
