Volleyball Recap: Hopkinton Falls Despite Big Games from Sydney Stephen and Gabby Pattie + How To Watch

Hopkinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bishop Feehan Shamrocks. The Hillers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Shamrocks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Bishop Feehan scored at least 12 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 23-25, 22-25, 15-12.

Despite the defeat, Hopkinton had strong showings from Gabby Pattie, who had 42 assists and 13 digs, and Sydney Stephen, who had 18 digs and four aces. Pattie is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last 14 games she's played.

Hopkinton's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Bishop Feehan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Hopkinton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Feehan, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Westwood on the 24th.
