Basketball Recap: Jayden Lewis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Taholah over Wahkiakum

Taholah lost against Wahkiakum back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Taholah Chitwhins took a 69-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wahkiakum Mules.

Several Chitwhins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Lewis, who posted 24 points. Lewis' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominique Rodriguez, who scored 19 points.

Taholah has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. Wahkiakum is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Taholah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wahkiakum, they will head out on the road to challenge Columbia Adventist Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Wahkiakum's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
