Baseball Game Preview: Notre Dame Prep Lancers vs. New Canaan Rams

The Notre Dame Prep Lancers will venture away from home to square off against the New Canaan Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Notre Dame Prep has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Notre Dame Prep is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against New Milford, falling 14-3.

New Canaan came out on top against Ludlowe on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run seventh inning. The Rams took their contest against the Falcons 10-7. The game was the first time the Rams have beaten the Falcons on their field since April 27, 2016.

Maddox Hoffman was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Alex Etergino also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Notre Dame Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for New Canaan, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
