Howell's loss dropped their record down to 1-12-2. As for Belleville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12-1.

Howell and Belleville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Highlanders will face off against Lakeland at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (362 vs. 80). Meanwhile, Belleville (ranked 313th) will meet Skyline (ranked 35th) on October 8.
