Eastern had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They put the hurt on the North Miami Warriors with a sharp 13-2 victory. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six runs or more this season.

Eastern pushed their record up to 24-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for North Miami, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-6.

Eastern and North Miami are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Comets will challenge Wabash at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Miami, they will square off against Daleville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
