Basketball Recap: Boulder Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Boulder extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were dealt a 92-63 defeat at the hands of the Highlands Ranch Falcons. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Defeat or not, Boulder got some senior leadership from Wyatt Stamm and Lake Smith. Stamm posted 22 points, while Smith went 5-for-11 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Drew Hyde, who earned 15 points.

Highlands Ranch's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. They not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since December 13, 2024 (when they won 71-41).

George West III had a dynamite game, shooting 71% from the field to rack up 31 points along with six assists and three steals. Those 31 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Lane, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Looking ahead, Boulder will square off against Adams City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Highlands Ranch, they will challenge Erie at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
