Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Adams Central's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Adams Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Seward Bluejays by a score of 7-6. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Bluejays from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Adams Central got a good showing from Aiden Krejci, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Krejci has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Owen Brown made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-3. Nick Mousel was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Adams Central's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Seward, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Adams Central will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Aurora at 4:30 p.m. As for Seward, they are taking a road trip to take on York at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bluejays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dukes have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
