Baseball Recap: University Prep Wins Going Away Against Oroville

University Prep's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They never let the Oroville Tigers get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The game marked the Panthers' most dominant win of the season so far.

Jacob Lindell was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Tyler White was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.

University Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oroville only posted an OBP of .222.

The victory got University Prep back to even at 3-3-1. As for Oroville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as University Prep Panthers challenge Corning Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oroville, they will be taking part in a tournament against Arcata at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
