Evangel Christian wins going away against Restoration Academy

Recap: Evangel Christian Lightning vs. Restoration Academy
The Evangel Christian Lightning put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Restoration Academy 52-33. Given Evangel Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Restoration Academy is ranked 145th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Evangel Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zion Thompson led the charge by scoring 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Bugnar, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
Evangel Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Restoration Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evangel Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face East Central HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. As for Restoration Academy, they will take on Heritage Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
