North Central was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Lawrence Central on Tuesday. The Panthers blew past the Bears 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Tristan Wilson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Abel Flessner was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rykin Matthias, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

North Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrence Central only posted a batting average of .217.

North Central's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Lawrence Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.
