Basketball Recap: Bloomington North Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Caleb Fishel and Levi Lindeman

Bloomington North lost against Terre Haute North Vigo back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bloomington North Cougars took a 65-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Patriots are ranked 17th).

Bloomington North's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Levi Lindeman, who went 9-for-10 on his way to 20 points, and Caleb Fishel, who went 5-for-12 en route to 15 points. Thanks to that strong game, Lindeman now owns an excellent 46.3% shooting accuracy.

Terre Haute North Vigo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryce Renn, who posted 11 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Renn is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Gavin Woelfle was another key player, going 6-for-10 to rack up 15 points.

Bloomington North has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. Terre Haute North Vigo is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Bloomington North will square off against Columbus North at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st. Bloomington North is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season.
