Preview: Northeast Vikings vs. Central Lancers
Northeast is 10-0 against Central since November of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 10:30 a.m. on November 23rd. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Two weeks ago, Northeast lost to Abraham Lincoln on the road by a decisive 29-14 margin.
Despite the defeat, Northeast saw an underclassman step up: David Akpuru rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, Central came up short against George Washington back in October and fell 29-20.
Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Central, they have yet to win a match at home this season, leaving them with a 2-7 record.
Everything came up roses for Northeast against Central in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 35-7 victory. Does Northeast have another victory up their sleeve, or will Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
