Sioux Center waltzed into their contest on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cherokee Washington Braves an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Sioux Center's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Cherokee Washington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Sioux Center will head out on the road to take on MOC-Floyd Valley on Monday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Dutchmen have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups. As for Cherokee Washington, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Spirit Lake at 7:00 p.m.
