Volleyball Recap: Atchison Takes a Loss

Atchison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Louisburg Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Phoenix of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14.

Atchison's defeat dropped their record down to 10-19-2. As for Louisburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season.

Atchison will challenge Tonganoxie on Thursday. As for Louisburg, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Perry-Lecompton on the 11th.
