Volleyball Recap: Arcadia's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Arcadia was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Pasadena on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Apaches took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Salle Lancers on Wednesday. The Apaches were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Arcadia started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 11-25, 25-13, 25-20, 25-18.

Clara Massey paced Arcadia's offense, picking up 14 kills. Massey got some help from Serena Guo and her 11 assists. Finally, Massey was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Arcadia's defeat ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8. As for La Salle, they pushed their record up to 17-8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Arcadia has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Glendale on the 9th. La Salle has also already played their next matchup (against Mary Star of the Sea), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
