Basketball Recap: Northeast Vikings vs. Jesuit Tigers

A victory for Northeast just wasn't in the cards on Wednesday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were outmatched by the Jesuit Tigers on the road and fell 88-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (60), the Vikings still had to take the loss.

Jesuit was led to victory by Tyler Caouette and Dre Taylor. Caouette went 9 for 11 en route to 22 points plus eight rebounds, while Taylor went 6 for 7 en route to 14 points plus five rebounds and two steals. What's more, Caouette also racked up four threes, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Junior Arroyo, who went 5 for 9 en route to 11 points plus two steals.

Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Jesuit, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Northeast will square off against Largo at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Jesuit, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sports Leadership & Management at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
