Volleyball Recap: Packinghouse Christian Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Packinghouse Christian Academy had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against Big Bear, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for Packinghouse Christian Academy in their meetings with Big Bear: they've now lost five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-14.

Miranda Nordquist paced Packinghouse Christian Academy's offense, picking up two kills. Nordquist got some help from Sophia Escobedo and her three assists. Alana Alstot controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Abigail Hendricks was the offensive standout of the match as she had six aces and five kills.

Big Bear pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Big Bear wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Rim of the World on the 15th. Hopefully Packinghouse Christian Academy paid attention to Big Bear's game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on Big Bear at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
