Football Recap: Boron Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Boron played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 44-7 loss at the hands of the Bishop Union Broncos. The defeat continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Broncos: they've now lost nine in a row.

Jalen York threw for 47 yards on nine of 21 attempts. Andrew Gartica was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards. On the ground, Geordyn Rundblade rushed for 97 yards and one touchdown.

Bishop Union found their leader in sophomore Hunter Dailey, who rushed for 97 yards and three TDs on only nine carries. Dailey didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Another player making a difference was Emory Dondero, who threw for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten passes.

Boron now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Bishop Union, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.
