Softball Game Preview: LAMP Golden Tigers vs. Montgomery Catholic Knights

LAMP hasn't had much luck against Montgomery Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Golden Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Knights at 4:30 p.m. LAMP has given up an average of 10.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

LAMP is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Wednesday. They fell 11-7 to Charles Henderson.

Alice Vickers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Elizabeth Ladd also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Montgomery Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Prattville Christian Academy, falling 12-3.

Peyton Dees was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

LAMP's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Montgomery Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.
