Football Game Preview: Penn Manor Comets vs. J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado

Penn Manor is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and J.P. McCaskey a ten-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Penn Manor Comets will welcome the J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Penn Manor lost 34-13 to Manheim Township on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Blue Streaks are ranked 59th).

The losing side was boosted by Jalen Dupree, who rushed for 21 yards and two scores, and also picked up 61 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for J.P. McCaskey's offense. They were beaten by Wilson 56-0 on Friday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Red Tornado haven't been shut out since back in September.

J.P. McCaskey's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Penn Manor, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Penn Manor against J.P. McCaskey when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 44-6 victory. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Red Tornado have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
