Soccer Recap: Garden City's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Garden City entered their tilt with West on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Given Garden City's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked third, while West are ranked 83rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Garden City's offense was hitting West from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Justin Diaz led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Garden City's win bumped their record up to 12-1-1. As for West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Garden City will square off against Hays at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West, they will take on Berean Academy on Thursday.
