Basketball Recap: Climax Springs Comes Up Short

Climax Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 71-47 to the Halfway Cardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since December 12, 2023.

Climax Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Halfway, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Climax Springs will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Humansville at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Climax Springs is facing Humansville at the right time seeing as Humansville is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Halfway will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Lesterville at 3:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
