Baseball Game Preview: John Paul II Guardians vs. Marion Bulldogs

The John Paul II Guardians will square off against the Marion Bulldogs at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. John Paul II is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

On Monday, John Paul II didn't have quite enough to beat Randolph and fell 12-11.

Meanwhile, Marion got themselves on the board against Natalia on Monday, but Natalia never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 10-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won seven in a row.

The win got Marion back to even at 1-1. As for John Paul II, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

John Paul II might still be hurting after the 12-3 defeat they got from Marion in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can John Paul II avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
