Softball Recap: Powdersville Patriots vs. Carolina Academy Trojans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wren, Powdersville was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Carolina Academy Trojans an 18-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won six in a row.
Lilee Lugo and Kylie Powell made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Lugo tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Powell tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lugo has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
