St. Mary had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Pitman Pride on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on five straight.
Shea Hardcastle paced St. Mary's offense, picking up 21 kills. Hardcastle got some help from Victoria Keller and her 19 assists. Genevieve Rishwain controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
St. Mary's victory bumped their record up to 22-11. As for Pitman, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 27-10 record.
Coming up, St. Mary's will take on Folsom at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pitman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
