Basketball Recap: Minto Comes Up Short

Minto was the 50-35 winner over Tri-Valley when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Minto Lakers fell just short of the Tri-Valley Warriors by a score of 52-49 on Saturday.

Despite the defeat, Minto saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tayla Baker posted 19 points. Baker has been hot, having posted 15 or more points the last five times she's played. Ruth Fox was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Minto's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Tri-Valley, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-10.

As of now, neither Minto nor Tri-Valley have any future games scheduled.
