Softball Recap: Port Jervis Drops Season-High Score on Beacon

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Port Jervis). They put the hurt on the Beacon Bulldogs with a sharp 19-4 victory on Friday. The Raiders have beaten the Bulldogs the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

The win got Port Jervis back to even at 3-3. As for Beacon, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Port Jervis will take on Marlboro Central in a tournament on Saturday. The Dukes will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Beacon, they will be playing at home against Spackenkill at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
