Softball Recap: South Aiken Takes a Loss

South Aiken lost against North Augusta on April 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Thoroughbreds lost 11-3 to the Yellow Jackets.

South Aiken saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Russell, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Russell has brought in this season.

South Aiken has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 15 of their last 17 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season. As for North Augusta, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

Coming up, South Aiken will head out to square off against Aiken at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Augusta, they will be playing at home against Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
