Soccer Recap: Montclair Comes Up Short

Montclair lost against Birmingham back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Montclair Cavaliers fell just short of the Birmingham Patriots by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Patriots are ranked third).

Montclair now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Birmingham, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Montclair will be playing in front of their home fans against Chaffey at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Birmingham, they will head out on the road to challenge San Dieguito Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
