Basketball Recap: Starpoint Skates Past West Seneca West with Ease

Starpoint posted their biggest victory since February 24, 2024 on Tuesday. They blew past the West Seneca West Warhawks 63-29. With the Spartans ahead 34-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Despite the loss, West Seneca West saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bellarose Milligan went 7 for 15 en route to 15 points and five boards. Milligan also put up a block, which washer first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jayden Ecker, who posted six points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Starpoint's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for West Seneca West, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 12-2 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Starpoint will venture away from home to take on Williamsville East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Seneca West, they will head out on the road to challenge Lewiston-Porter at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
