Baseball Recap: Little Falls Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Little Falls put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Cloquet Lumberjacks as they made off with a 16-4 win.

Izaak Kalis made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Kalis was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Little Falls got a massive performance out of Joey Welinski, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jake Dahlberg, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Little Falls pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cloquet, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Little Falls is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Foley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cloquet, they will host South Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
