Recap: Sabinal Yellowjackets vs. Lee Academy of Science & Engineering Wolfpack
The Sabinal Yellowjackets lost against the Lee Academy of Science & Engineering Wolfpack back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Sabinal fell 56-44 to Lee Academy of Science & Engineering. Sabinal has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Sabinal still got an impressive performance from Ricardo Perez, who scored 23 points along with three steals. Perez hasn't dropped below 15 points for eight straight games. Andres Reyes was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Sabinal's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-13. As for Lee Academy of Science & Engineering, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3.
Sabinal will take on Stockdale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sabinal is facing Stockdale at the right time seeing as Stockdale is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lee Academy of Science & Engineering, they will head out on the road to challenge La Pryor at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
