Volleyball Recap: Pittsfield Generals vs. Agawam Brownies
Pittsfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Agawam Brownies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 25-13.
Agawam can attribute much of their success to Isabella Spaulding, who had six aces, five kills, and a block. The dominant performance gave Spaulding a new career-high in aces.
Pittsfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Agawam, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pittsfield will challenge Chicopee Comp at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Agawam, they will square off against Ludlow at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ludlow will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Agawam surely won't give up without a fight.
