Basketball Game Preview: Kettle Falls Bulldogs vs. Chewelah Cougars

The Kettle Falls Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Chewelah Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Kettle Falls and three for Chewelah.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 77-50, which was the final score in Kettle Falls' tilt against Northwest Christian School on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Crusaders are ranked 69th).

Meanwhile, Chewelah came up short against Northwest Christian School on Saturday, falling 68-48.

Kettle Falls' loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Chewelah, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.

Kettle Falls strolled past Chewelah when the teams last played back in January by a score of 51-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kettle Falls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
