Basketball Game Preview: Tatum Coyotes vs. Eunice Cardinals

Tatum has won four straight games at home, while Eunice has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Tatum Coyotes will welcome the Eunice Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tatum is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Jal: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Tatum blew Jal out of the water with a 70-34 final score. The Coyotes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Eunice hadn't done well against Texico recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Eunice took down Texico 47-33. The game was the first time the Cardinals have beaten the Wolverines on their court since February 26, 2016.

Eunice is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points over those games. Tatum's win bumped their record up to 22-5.
