Basketball Game Preview: North Port Bobcats vs. Venice Indians

The North Port Bobcats will take on the Venice Indians in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Port is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

On Friday, North Port ended up a good deal behind LaBelle and lost 63-48.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Venice's strategy against Bayshore on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Venice blew Bayshore out of the water with a 62-27 final score. With the Indians ahead 39-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

The victory made it two in a row for Venice and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for North Port, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

North Port was able to grind out a solid win over Venice when the teams last played back in February, winning 68-59. Will North Port repeat their success, or does Venice have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
