Soccer Game Preview: Bishop O'Dowd vs. Oakland Tech

The Bishop O'Dowd Dragons will face off against the Oakland Tech Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

After dropping their season opener at home, Oakland Tech is headed out to face a Bishop O'Dowd team ready to give their home crowd a win. Bishop O'Dowd fell 3-1 to Campolindo on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Oakland Tech had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. Their defense stepped up to hand Salesian College Preparatory a 1-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Oakland Tech were the better team in the second half.

Bishop O'Dowd skirted past Oakland Tech 2-1 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
